Song Challenge Day 19

A song from your favorite album

Bought my first album when I was in High school, it was Avril Lavigne's first album titled Let Go. I bought it with my saved money from school around Christmas time in Cebu. There weren't any good stores selling albums in Ormoc before so I was pretty excited. From then I get to buy some other albums years later like Avril's  second album, The Corr's Greatest Hits Album, Hale, Spongecola, Top Suzara, FallOut Boy and Sonicflood. Albums cost almost 500php before both locally and internationally.

Nowadays technology offered a lot easier using the internet. I usually check an artist's album through the net and would download on torrents site. I know it's kinda illegal but then it's free and cheap. My currently fave albums today are from Lorde, Zedd, Icona Pop, Imagine Dragons and etc. I dunno it's easier and there are loads of artists out there who share songs online. Still, listening to the artist live is worth spending the money on it.

Down to my favorite album, Hale's debut album would be my all time favorite. Not only that they are Filipinos but the songs are easy, fresh and reminds me of the good old days. First heard the band on a radio station and the rest was well history. Trhough them I get to meet some other people with same interests and passion for music. it was a pretty big.

Underneath the Waves reminds me of the song were you listen to before going to bed. I think the song talks about being in love and well trusting each other. The person is telling his/her partner that he/she is ready to take their relationship on the next level. He/She is telling him/her that they will face what consequences that may come... ahhhh such a sweet song.

There wasn't any official video of this but the one who edited below did a good job.

Lyrcis:

The stars beneath the stars
They tell me you're a secret
And everytime
I wake up in the morning
Rain is falling down on me
I feel free

You caught me by surprise
I ask you to believe me
Without a lie
We'll never have to say or feel we're sorry
Don't say we're sorry
Soon you'll see

I'm learning
I'm learning from you now

Stars fading
Free falling into you

This time i'm sure what i'm looking for
And that's what i want you to know
And i won't ever let you go

Underneath the waves
I can feel you underneath the waves

It's all been said and done to me i know it
Just let me have a chance to prove my cause
And i don't know what lies ahead for us
In any road i'll let you come my way

And i'm ready for you now
Be ready for me know
Show me love

Song Challenge Day 18

A Song That You Wish You Heard on the Radio

This song is pretty catchy! Discovered this song while surfing through youtube on some similar pages area. When a saw the trailer of a That Awkward Moment movie, this song was also featured. So I guess I should appreciate it more hehehe. Miles Teller is on that movie too! Love that guy ^^

I knew the band before with their Best Song Ever. The video is hilarious as well. I didn't quite notice them when I heard this song first. Well the chorus part is addictive once you get to hear it. It has the same jingle that just sticks to your head.

My thoughts for this song would be that it's has a pretty good jingle and tune. For its meaning, just people who have a good time with each others company. In spite of all the difficulties each of has go through, it's nice to share it with people who matter.

Lyrics:

‘member what you said to me?
We were fading heavily
On the rooftop stumbling
We’re our own worst enemies

Cause my drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love, too much love

We got drunken hearts (eh, eh)
And don’t know how to stop (eh,eh)
Cause we got drunken hearts (eh, eh)
And don’t know how to stop our drunken hearts

We go out, like, every night
Making out and picking fights
And even though I know it’s bad
You’re a good problem to have

Cause my drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love, too much love

We got drunken hearts (eh, eh)
And don’t know how to stop (eh,eh)
Cause we got drunken hearts (eh, eh)
And don’t know how to stop our drunken hearts
Our drunken hearts, yeah

My drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love and then I spill it
My drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love and then I spill it
Our drunken hearts, they’re like overflowing cups
We got too much love, too much love

We got drunken hearts (eh, eh)
And don’t know how to stop (eh,eh)
Cause we got drunken hearts (got drunken hearts)
And don’t know how to stop our drunken hearts (know how to stop)

My drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love and then I spill it
My drunken heart’s like an overflowing cup
I got too much love and then I spill it
Our drunken hearts, they’re like overflowing cups
We got too much love

Day 17: A Song That You Hear Often On the Radio

PS: Since I lost my prevoius song challenge list, I continued this one with the last day. So yeah this list makes up almost a year to complete ha!

I listen to the radio during mornings, preferably after i woke up during my 6a duty shifts. There are only three stations that I listen to: Monster Radio 105.9, Y101 and Home Radio 106.7 The rest of the stations are not that  you know surpass my taste in music.

Enough about that, the impotant os the song I usually hear. Well nowadays, The Script's Millionaires got me hearing and thinking. I just saw the video and yes it did well based on it's lyrics. I think almost anyone can relate to this song too.

I guess each of everyone of us feels like being rich when were in love. Even after all the noise on a Saturday night, you will always know that there is someone waiting for your at each end of the day. It's sweet and the video has the straight right up version of it.

Lyrics:

They're kicking us out saying it's time to close
We're leaning on each other try'na beat the cold
Carry your shoes and I give you my coat
Walking these streets like they're paved gold
Make many more excuses not to go
Neither one of us want to take that taxi home

ref.
Singing our hearts out, standing on chairs
Spending the time like we were millionaires
Laughing our heads off, the two of us there
Spending the time like we were millionaires
Millionaires
ooohoh ooohoh

Lost my heart and I hope to die
Seeing that sunlight hit your eyes
Been up all night but you still look amazing to me
Yeah,
Half the time of the night you only dream about
If God came down he could take me now
Cause in my mind, yeah we will always be

ref.
Singing our hearts out, standing on chairs
Spending our time like we were millionaires
Laughing our heads off, the two of us there
Spending the time like we were millionaires
Millionaires
ooohoh ooohoh

Look at us since six in the morning
If time was money, yeah we'd be worth a fortune
I swear you may think your'e rich
You could have a million euro but you cant buy this
Look at us since six in the morning
If time was money, yeah we'd be worth a fortune
I swear you may think your'e rich
You could have a million euro but you cant buy this

bridge.
And the band was on, playing our song
We messed up the lyrics as we sing along
But we didn't care,
Cause it felt like we were the only ones there
My feet where sore, my bones were raw
They're turning off the lights, when we were shouting more
Shouting more,

ref.
Singing our hearts out, standing on chairs
Spending the time like we were millionaires
Laughing our heads off, the two of us there
Spending the time like we were millionaires
Millionaires
ooohoh ooohoh
Look at us since six in the morning
If time was money, yeah we'd be worth a fortune
I swear you may think your'e rich
You could have a million euro but you cant buy this x2

Walking these streets like their paved gold
Anymore excuses is not to go
Neither one of us want to take that taxi home

Song Challenge Day 16

Day 16: A Song that You Used to Love but now Hate

Yes this song got me hook so bad for months...
Until it becomes the only song you here on the radio, tv commercials and well on people
It's becoming annoying so yeah that usually me
As for the video, well it reminds me of another song I forgot the title and little stubborn to google it.
Anyways Avicii does have some great songs too on this album
As for the lyrics, well it's not that hard to forget hahahahaha

Lyrcis:

Oh, sometimes
I get a good feeling, yeah
I get a feeling that I never, never, never, never had before, no no
I get a good feeling, yeah

Song Challenge Day 15

Day 15: A Song that Describes You

I really like this version of Avril, she's raw and real in here unlike of her nowadays though. hey people change! So this song comes from her 2nd album Under my Skin which I bought a copy too. It talks mainly about finding yourself kind of thing. To me, the one she's talking about maybe is her self, the one who makes mistakes, fails and shitty everything. In this world, people are now focus on what can be seen in front, judge you easily and concludes. It gets me frustrated sometimes of able people have to talk about other people when they didn't know them personally, gossip. I have met this kind of situation very often and its just plain wrong. Blame it on public scrutiny for this and no body know what normal is too.

It talks about me rather I can feel the song is about me. Sticking it up for today, having no regrets. Although being reckless has its downsides yet risks are worth it. Life is all about challenges, if you stay in there on repeat surely I'm gonna loose my mind for it. I may not look like a happy person but usually I laugh everyday! hahahahaha plus being yourself is the best way you can present to the world...

Lyrics:

Why do you look so familiar
I could swear that I have seen your face before
I think I like that you seem sincere
I think I'd like to get to know you a little bit more

I think there's something more
Life's worth living for

Who knows what could happen
Do what you do
Just keep on laughing
One thing's true
There's always a brand new day
I'm gonna live today like it's my last day

How do you always have an opinion
And how do you always find the best way to compromise
We don't need to have a reason
We don't need anything we're just wasting time

I think there's something more
Life's worth living for

Who knows what could happen
Do what you do
Just keep on laughing
One thing's true
There's always a brand new day
Who knows what could happen
Do what you do
Just keep on laughing
One thing's true
There's always a brand new day
I'm gonna live today like it's my last day

Find yourself
'Cause I can't find you
Be yourself
Who are you?
Find yourself
'Cause I can't find you
Be yourself
Who are you?

Who knows what could happen
Do what you do
Just keep on laughing
One thing's true
There's always a brand new day

So you go and make it happen
Do your best
Just keep on laughing
I'm telling you
There's always a brand new day

Who knows what could happen
Do what you do
Just keep on laughing
One thing's true
There's always a brand new day

I'm gonna live today like it's my last day

Song Challenge Day 14

Day 14: A Song that No One would expect You to Love

I'm totally addicted to this song! I think it's because of the violin at the background or that the message of the song is kinda straight forward. hahahhaah either ways the meaning of the song is shallow enough, just attention seeking from a guy but the video is pretty funny though. You be the judge whether you love or hate this song. Oh yeah there's a version of it where some young US stars were lip singing with it just check it here... As for the video enjoy! Too bad the guy was being gayish hahahaha

Lyrics:

I threw a wish in the well
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
I looked to you as it fell
And now you're in my way
I trade my soul for a wish
Pennies and dimes for a kiss I wasn't looking for this
But now you're in my way
Your stare was holdin'
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?

Hey, I just met you and this is crazy,
But here's my number so call me maybe
It's hard to look right at you baby,
But here's my number so call me maybe
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy,
But here's my number, so call me maybe
And all the other boys, try to chase me,
But here's my number so call me maybe

You took your time with the call
I took no time with the fall
You gave me nothing at all, but still you're in my way
I beg and borrow and steal
Have foresight and it's real
I didn't know I would feel it, but it's in my way
Your stare was holdin', Ripped jeans,
Skin was showin' Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?

Hey I just met you
And this is crazy
But here's my number
So call me maybe
It's hard to look right, at you baby,
But here's my number so call me maybe
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy
But here's my number so call me maybe
And all the other boys, try to chase me,
But here's my number so call me maybe

Before you came into my life I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad I missed you so, so bad
Before you came into my life I missed you so bad
And you should know that I missed you so, so bad
It's hard to look right at you baby,
But here's my number so call me, maybe
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy,
But here's my number so call me maybe
And all the other boys try to chase me,
But here's my number so call me maybe
Before you came into my life I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad I missed you so so bad
Before you came into my life I missed you so bad
And you should know that
So call me maybe

Song Challenge Day 13

Day 13: A song that is a Guilty Pleasure

Everyone knows this song, it's been playing on radio shows or the tv for years now. I can still remember the times when I was so hyped to learn this from the guitar hahahaha although I suck at playing now.

I chose this song as a guilty pleasure track since I enjoyed it even though the message kinda sad. It reminds me of those times when you just want to shut down every senseless noise around you and surprised only to hear from a voice that you are dying to listen. A voice from the person that made a huge impact but suddenly leaves you without knowing why. It was fun while it lasted and people moved on with their lives.

When I think of it now, I should be thankful for the memories that person gave me. I never felt any remorse of it, just some little bliss.

Lyrics:

You say I only hear what I want to.
You say I talk so all the time so.
And I thought what I felt was simple,
and I thought that I don't belong,
and now that I am leaving,
now I know that I did something wrong 'cause I missed you.
Yeah yeah, I missed you.

And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.

So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
and this woman was singing my song:
lover's in love, and the other's run away,
lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.
Some of us hover when we weep for the other who was
dying since the day they were born.
Well, well, this is not that;
I think that I'm throwing, but I'm thrown.

And I thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.
You try to tell me that I'm clever,
but that won't take me anyhow, or anywhere with you.

You said that I was naive,
and I thought that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."
Oh, but now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.
Yeah, I miss you.

You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."
You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just
scared to lose.

And you say, "Stay."
And you say I only hear what I want to.

Song Challenge Day 12

Day 12: A song from a Band you Hate

I have to admit this band is one of the locals but damn somehow I just can't stand them. I guess it's because some of their songs are rip offs of some famous songs or their chorus always started with the chord e or because one of their vocalist (Jay to be exact)  is an eyesore (opinion) or their music is lame. Just ranting my opinions on them yet I'm not that convince of their music. Except for this little piece, at least it has some sense to it. Ok ok back to this, I don't know what happen to them now but my sources are telling me that somehow the band split up or one of it's members left. As for the song, it's typically asking for the girl to stay with him. Anyhow it's just not my type...

Lyrics:

I believe
we shouldn't let the moment pass us by
life's too short
we shouldn't wait for the water to run dry

think about it
cause we only have one shot at destiny
all i'm asking
could it possibly be you and me?

So if you'd still go, i'll understand
would you give me something just to hold on to?
and if you'll stay, ill hold your hand
cause i'm truly, madly, crazily in love with you

Time has come
for us to go our separate ways
God forbid
But my mind is going crazy today

i feel so cold
feel so numb
i'm having nightmares but i'm awake
Help me lord
Fight this loneliness
Take this pain away

So if you'd still go, i'll understand
would you give me something just to hold on to?
and if you'll stay, ill hold your hand
cause im truly, madly, crazily in love with you

Now that you're gone, im all alone
im still hoping that you would come back home
dont care how long, but im willing to wait
Cause im truly, madly, crazily in love with you

Song Challenge Day 11

Day 11: A Song from your Favorite band

I have clearly mention that one of my fave band would be Franco, so yeah I have given a thought of showing you another great local band, Urbandub. This song down here would be one of my longtime favorite.

Been listening to their music for years now when I started college. Saw them live and they were pretty good. Clean yet clear with it's lyrics relatable. It's one of those after break up songs when you realized that everything has finished. No more cool offs or some sort but it's done. Having to break from someone is kinda hard, rolling of all emotions and feeling crap all the time. But it's also a healthy side to it, you realized of how grown you have or the lessons you could learn from such experience. I hate remedies but it's part of life. Without it, it will be empty.

Lyrics:

This separation is killing me
You say I should've thought that
Before I did what I have done
So easier to put the blame on you
I should've looked inside of me
But it's all in vain as I try to explain
She pulls away...

We could've been more
Can we ever have these feelings again?
We should've been more
Maybe in time we'll realize that maybe
Fate reveals the remedies
Making it feel like it will be like the first time.

Still the vision on my mind
Cuz now I realize it's
So damn hard to give you up
No way out of this hole
Can we ever have us back again?
Let's not start and put the blame part away
Can you honestly say
You can see me with another one?
Another one, another chance with you
I want more, I want more, I want more.

Regretting it now
Can fate reveal to me?
The questions to why?
Reveal the remedy.

Could've been more
Should've been more
Maybe in time we'll realize that maybe
That fate reveals the remedies
Making it feel like it will be like the first time
Just like the first time.

Song Challenge Day 10

Day 10: A song that makes you fall Asleep

Usually I prefer classical instruments like the soundtrack from Pride and Prejudice or this but when I met Mae's Evening album, it was perfect!

This has become my sleeping song or a lullaby if you put it that way. The album is perfect when you're driving alone at night, it's raining outside or a diversion to take away stress. I have listened to this band for years and they never seize to amaze me. They have songs that are raw and well can relate most of them.As for the song, the lyrics say it all. I define it as something fiction/fact kind of way. Something to look forward on while sleeping but the sad part is there's no reality to it. Yet again, it's ok to dream.

Lyrics:

You are the cool wind that frees my bones
And I'm so reckless when you call to me
But when you're gone and I feel so alone
I want to curse the spell you have on me
I love and hate the way you make me feel
I never know when you're about to leave me

And there she goes at the speed of sound
Oh there she goes to pull me back around

I can still remember that cold (e)vening when we first met
You had your mark on me you know you did
And every note and word you sang to me
Have never made their way out of my head
When you're away they keep me hanging on
But in our world you're only there, here until you're gone

There she goes at the speed of sound
Yeah, there she goes
And there she goes at the speed of sound
Yeah, there she goes

Was she a dream?

All I really know is that your hold on me is way to strong to be
Just a part of my imagination
And like this wind that I will never see
Why you refuse to let me know which where you're coming from
And there she goes
There she goes

There she goes at the speed of sound
Oh, there she goes

And there she goes
I want to curse the spell you have on me
(At the speed of sound)
You get me far so far from reality
(To pull me back around)
You make me feel like this was all just a dream

And there she goes
I still remember when you first saw me
(At the speed of sound)
You had the mark, oh the mark of your melody
(Oh, there she goes)
I love and hate the way you're making me
(To pull me back around)
You make me feel like this was just another dream

She was a dream

Song Challenge Day 9

Day 9: A song that you can Dance to

Who can't dance to this song? It's everywhere! LMFAO has some great tunes but their first single is kinda addicting. Heard this earlier of the year and still people stuck to it... No other words I can say just hear to it and let those dancing shoes go shuffling! hahahaha Even if you look like a maniac...

Lyrics:

Party rock is in the house tonight
Everybody just have a good time
And we gonna make you lose your mind
Everybody just have a good time

Party rock is in the house tonight
Everybody just have a good time
And we gonna make you lose your mind
We just wanna see ya shake that

In the club party rock, lookin' for your girl? She on my jock
Nonstop when we in the spot, booty movin' weight like she on the block
Where the drank? I gots to know, tight jeans, tattoo 'cause I'm rock 'n' roll
Half black, half white, domino, game the money, op-a-doe

Yo, I'm runnin' through these ho's like Drano
I got that devilish flow, rock 'n' roll, no halo
We party rock, yeah, that's the crew that I'm reppin'
On the rise to the top, no lead in our zeppelin, hey

Party rock is in the house tonight
Everybody just have a good time
And we gonna make you lose your mind
Everybody just have a good time

Party rock is in the house tonight
Everybody just have a good time
And we gonna make you lose your mind
We just wanna see ya shake that

Everyday I'm shufflin'
Shufflin', shufflin'

Step up fast and be the first girl to make me throw this cash
We gettin' money, don't be mad now, stop, hatin' is bad

One more shot for us, another round
Please fill up my cup, don't mess around
We just wanna see you shake it now
Now you wanna be, you're naked now

Get up, get down, put your hands up to the sound
Get up, get down, put your hands up to the sound
Get up, get down, put your hands up to the sound
Put your hands up to the sound, put your hands up to the sound

Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, put your hands up to the sound, to the sound
Put your hands up, put your hands up, put your hands up, put your hands up

Party rock is in the house tonight
(Put your hands up)
Everybody just have a good time
(Put your hands up)
And we gonna make you lose your mind
(Put your hands up)
Everybody just have a good, good, good time

Put your hands up
Put your hands up
Put your hands up
Shake that, everyday I'm shufflin'

Song Challenge Day 8

Day 8: A song that you know All the words to

As of the moment, I would definitely pick this song. Only two members left but their comeback song for me is a killer! It's one of those songs that are nice heard when you wake up first thing in the morning. Since I am kinds addicted to the song so much that memorizing it's lyrics isn't hard. As for it's meaning I am not so sure what it is, the chorus can still sound like having a bj or something lust and immature or that it's a metaphor and that the whole meaning to the song is somehow a knew outlook from a fallback. I'll stick to the new outlook part hahahha, you decide. On the other side of things, it's very addicted song and that the happy instrumentals combining this tune makes the lyrics easy to memorize plus it's featured on Megan Fox's movie Jennifer's Body. The movie was a disaster though.

Lyrics:

I feel the salty waves come in
I feel them crash against my skin
And I smile as I respire because I know they'll never win
There's a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
And maybe if I continue watching
I'll lose the traits that worry me

Can we fast-forward till you go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up im getting out of here
(Can we fast-forward till you go down on me?)

Taking everything for granted but we still respect the time
We move along with some new passion knowing everything is fine
And I would wait and watch the hours fall in a hundred separate lines
But I regain repose and wonder how I ended up inside

Can we fast-forward till you go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up im getting out of here
Catch me up im getting out of here

More to the point, I need to show
How much I can come and go
Other plans fell through
And put a heavy load on you
I know there's no more that need be said
When I'm inching through your bed
Take a look around instead and watch me go

Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up im getting out of here

It's not fair, just let me perfect it
Don't wanna live a life that was comprehensive
'Cause seeing clear would be the bad idea
Now catch me up im getting out of here
So catch me up I'm getting out of here (Can we fast-forward till you go down on me?)

Song Challenge Day 7

Day 7: A song that reminds you of a certain Event

If you are a follower to this blog then you know why I chose this song...

It's been like years since that 'haunted' memory but it's part of growing up I guess. One of the most influential songs of mine that let me survived some 'troubled' sorrows. It was in college when your peers try in teasing on you to someone but then somehow out of nowhere you kinda see a new 'shade' of that person. Weird even now still I can't quite answer that question why on earth him...

But if you don't get the idea who I am talking about hmmmm just check my previous posts though, not gonna mention a specific one hahahaha since it's kinda embarrassing. Anyhow back to the song, it's meaning is readable enough. I mean almost any broken hearted being has related to it, one moves on quickly while the other is not. Simple yet strong. I guess being broken is kinda in for the past years though.... except that killing yourself is stupid!

Lyrics:

I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing
Just prayed to a God that I don't believe in
'Cause I got time while she got freedom
'Cause when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven

Her best days will be some of my worst
She finally met a man that's gonna put her first
While I'm wide awake she's no trouble sleeping
'Cause when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven, even, no

What am I suppose to do
When the best part of me was always you and
What am I suppose to say
When I'm all choked up and you're okay

I'm falling to pieces, yeah
I'm falling to pieces

They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding
'Cause she's moved on while I'm still grieving
And when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven, even, no

What am I gonna do
When the best part of me was always you
And what am I suppose to say
When I'm all choked up and you're okay

I'm falling to pieces, yeah
I'm falling to pieces, yeah
I'm falling to pieces
(One's still in love while the other one's leaving)
I'm falling to pieces
('Cause when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven)

You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain
You took your suitcase, I took the blame
Now I'm tryna make sense of what little remains, oh
'Cause you left me with no love and no love to my name

I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing
Just prayed to a God that I don't believe in
'Cause I got time while she got freedom
'Cause when a heart breaks, no it don't break
No it don't break, no it don't breakeven, no

What am I gonna do
When the best part of me was always you
And what am I supposed to say
When I'm all choked up and you're okay

I'm falling to pieces, yeah
I'm falling to pieces, yeah
I'm falling to pieces
(One's still in love while the other one's leaving)
I'm falling to pieces
('Cause when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven)

Oh, it don't breakeven, no
Oh, it don't breakeven, no
Oh, it don't breakeven, no

Song Challenge Day 6

Day 6: a Song that Reminds you of Somewhere

I blame my dad for this since he owns a cassette tape with Kenny Rankin's hits. This song reminds me of home actually, Ormoc City. Although the message of the song is not particularly related to my reason. It's easy and mellow plus this was usually the song when my dad picked us up at school during lunch break. My dad has this tendency to play the songs over and over again. Even though I was so hungry since he would picked us up late, my energy usually shifted on singing to this song instead. As for the artist himself, he was truly great and talented. He writes songs, has a cool voice plus awesome guitar rifts. His version of Blackbird is superb also. He passed away though in 2009 but his works will be remembered always.  Sorry Kirk from Glee but you have really ruined the song for me, his version of Blackbird was not that convincing.

Lyrics:

I've ordered some rain for tomorrow
The sky will be sunny but wet
And out of nowhere you're suddenly there
And i say yeah pardon me haven't we met?

I've ordered some sunshine with showers
And i've got my scenery set
Right there with a thump our umbrellas gonna bump
And i say yeah yeah pardon me haven't we met?

Accidents can happen
And into one i'm gonna slide
There's a good chance to get my hands
On a little romance when two hearts collide

And i know that's just how it happened
When romeo met juliet
Somewhere i've read that old romeo said
pardon me haven't we met?

And i know that's just how it happened
When romeo met juliet
Somewhere i've read that old romeo said
pardon me oh he said pardon me
He said pardon me haven't we met?

Song Challenge Day 5

Day 5: A Song that Reminds you of Someone

All time favorite from this band. This song will always remind me of my future love *sigh* hahahaha or rather someone who loves me. It's a great song; it may sound a bit desperate but hey when a guy actually sings this to me... he has taste hahaha. Seriously, it's what I would express to the one I am so called 'link' to. Thus reminds me of someone. I guess I have this so called wishful thinking of a guy (i.e. the gray man or lefty island) that he will look at my direction and see me differently. To the point that I might change just to please him or will do everything, desperate much eh?

Lyrics:

So I look in your direction
But you pay me no attention, do you?
I know you don't listen to me
'Cause you say you see straight through me, don't you?

But on and on
From the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side; just you try and stop me
I'll be waitin' in line, just to see if you care

Oh…
Did you want me to change?
But I'd change for good
And I want you to know that you'll always get your way
I wanted to say…

Don't you shiver
Shiver
Sing it loud and clear
I'll always be waiting for you

So you know how much I need you
But you never even see me, do you?
And is this my final chance of getting you?

And on and on
From the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side; just you try and stop me
I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you care, if you care

Oh…
Did you want me to change?
Well I'd change for good
And I want you to know that you'll always get your way
I wanted to say…

Don't you shiver
Don't you shiver
Sing it loud and clear
I'll always be waitin' for you

Yeah I'll always be waiting for you
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you, for you
I will always be waiting…

And it's you I see but you don't see me
And it's you I hear so loud and so clear
I sing it loud and clear
And I'll always be waiting for you

So I look in your direction
But you pay me no attention
And you know how much I need you
But you never even see me

Song Challenge Day 4

Day 4: A Song that makes You Sad

One of my old favorites from this talented artist. First heard it way back on college and somehow stuck to my list of the emoish side. The song says it all, hate keep coming back to the person that I will never have. Even if I wish for it so much, somehow my mind will always keep on posting the negative feedback if that happens. Still, I want to be selfish just for that person lang. Even though I stay tough and numb on the outside, my insides are screaming for some. My moralities won't allow it. So yeah he is neither a friend nor a foe, but a constant reminder I guess on why him.

Lyrics:

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do, I still feel you here 'till the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your reign.

CHORUS:
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.

CHORUS:
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

I live here on my knees as I
Try to make you see that you're
Everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I
Can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down
You're keeping me down, yeah, yeah, yeah
You're onto me, onto me and all over

Something always brings me back to you
It never takes too long

Song Challenge Day 3

Day 3:  A Song that makes you Happy

This song still gets me shivers every time I see the video. A really amazing song one which are written quite nicely. Basically it talks about life, and how we screw up because of manly things (lesser God). The values are gone that eventually lead to hurting ourselves. Because of our doings, we end up shit. When we realize and learned from our mistakes, we take a stand like the one on the video where the guy was being hit by the car. Although you can't always count on friends, you have to learn from your mistakes that's why they didn't help him get up. The song also depicts on you faith to whatever religion you believe in. It's somehow a reminder for me thus every time I feel fulfilled on life, this song plays on my head. Being Kings and Queens to our lives is an amazing feeling.

Lyrics:

Into the night
Desperate and broken
The sound of a fight
Father has spoken.

We were the kings and queens of promise
We were the victims of ourselves
Maybe the children of a lesser god
Between heaven and hell, Heaven and hell.

Into your eyes
Hopeless and taken
We stole our new lives
Through blood an pain
In defense of our dreams
In defense of our dreams

We were the kings and queens of promise
We were the victims of ourselves
Maybe the children of a lesser god
Between heaven and hell, Heaven and hell.

The age of man is over
The darkness comes and all
These lessons that we've learned here
Have only just begun

We were the kings and queens of promise
We were the victims of ourselves
Maybe the children of a lesser god
Between heaven and hell.

We are the kings
We are the queens
We are the kings
We are the queens

Song Challenge Day 2

Day 02: Your Least Favorite Song

As of the moment, my least favorite song would be this one below

Don't get me wrong but the stuff they are trying to pull off sounds like from Phoenix. Plus it's poppy and don't like the vocalist hair style hahahaha... Seriously, even it is upbeat and all still no. The ironic part is that almost all people love it. That there is nothing I can do. Plus the acoustic song version live from the Bllboard.com was not that nice also. Same thing when Katy Perry's ET cam out. I don't get the meaning of it all!

Lyrics:

Here we go again, I kinda want to be more than friends
So take it easy on me, I'm afraid you're never satisfied
Here we go again, we're sick like animals, we play pretend
You're just a cannibal and I'm afraid I won't get out alive
No, I won't sleep tonight

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Here we are again, I feel the chemicals kicking in
It's getting heavy and I want to run and hide
I want to run and hide
I do it every time, you're killing me now
And I won't be denied by you, the animal inside of you

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/n/neon-trees-lyrics/animal-lyrics.html ]
Take a bite of my heart tonight

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Hush, hush, the world is quiet
Hush, hush, we both can't fight it
It's us that made this mess
Why can't you understand?

Whoa, I won't sleep tonight
I won't sleep tonight
Here we go again

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting

Here we go again, oh, oh
Here we go again, oh, oh
Here we go again, oh, oh
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Oh, oh, I want some more
Oh, oh, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Song Challenge Day 1

This challenge has been on facebook for ages, so I decided to make my own here and wired it to my twitter account. Bare with me if some of you disapprove, make your own list instead...

 Day 1: Your Favorite Song

This is usually a very hard question, so I just simply put it 'as of the moment' in the end hehehehe

Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People had been stuck to my neurons for days now. It's the beat who has got me hooked up since its kinda relaxing yet upbeat in some sort of way. It's like a commercial jingle or something on the radio that it's so easy to remember. As for the meaning of this song I think the kid they are referring to likes to kill everyone who gets in his way, Kidding! Yeah that was my first thought about this song... I guess Robert has lost it's patience to the world and shooting some nonsense people would be quite fun :)

Lyrics:

Robert's got a quick hand
He'll look around the room
He won't tell you his plan
He's got a rolled cigarette hanging out his mouth
He's a cowboy kid
Yeah, he found a six-shooter gun
In his dad's closet hidden in a box of fun things
And I don't even know what
But he's coming for you, yeah, he's coming for you

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet
x1

Daddy works a long day
He be coming home late, yeah, he's coming home late
And he's bringing me a surprise
Because dinner's in the kitchen and it's packed in ice
I've waited for a long time
Yeah, the slight of my hand is now a quick pull trigger
I reason with my cigarette
And say your hair's on fire
You must have lost your wits, yeah

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet
x1

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet
x3
