Not a Fan but it was Free

The last time I posted something that includes seeing international artists ended up in a hate entry. A year has passed but then I still have the grudge against that girl, I wish fate could teach her with decency. (click here for that entry)

Moving along, last Saturday was another fun filled er more like aching screams from other girls day to witness another international artist. To my dismay, I am not a fan of him but then the opportunity is rare. Plus it was free. Might as well try to find some ‘”thing” and yet I did.

Everyone is into American Idol, so almost everyone knows this show and the contest. For a successful of almost a decade in the business, this show still had fans scream for new breed of young singers. As for me, I pretty just sit back and watch anime than this; like I said I am not a fan.

Jason Castro landed in the County by Rene Castro

Jason Castro came, the phlegm-colored eyes with dread locks guy who pretty much has the voice rather similar tone as the Jonas brothers. For one thing, the guy can really sing and mostly the songs of his EP album have this happy tune to it. How do I know about the songs? I was stuck among the standing (the free part) spectacle leaning against the border bars and having a retarded cd player who plays the cd for like three times already while waiting for the show to start. Yes I know, it was music at first but playing it over and over makes me sleepy. The pain on my thighs was overshadowing the happy tune.

We started standing like around 5:30pm. Imagine the show was 8:30pm! I almost lost my cool during the waiting period since I was supposed to be hook up with another trip with friends, but got cancelled in a last minute. Good thing, we still managed to catch up during his soundcheck session and I discovered his lead guitars! Stephen Kanicka has a cool voice, I repeat a cool voice. I was surprised since Jason has this hoarseness (opinion!) to it and he has like this soothing one especially when he blends his voice for second voicing. Gaaaah and he knows tricks to his guitar! Currently I’m a follower of his tweets but he hasn’t had any songs yet. Will be waiting though and I believe this guy can make wonders to the music industry.

The overall show was a success for me. Jason played his songs from the EP and the ones he use in American Idol. I enjoyed watching it though and seeing Stephen made my day! Hahahaha The crowd was huge and wild! Mostly high school girls were screaming Jason’s name, holding banners and someone also printed his AI number. Oh yes there were a bunch of guys too screaming for his name. It was weird and grossed me. I mean those guys have manly voices but screaming his name gaaah and they were like sitting two rows full! My brain at that time had a hard time registering it but yeah I have no business about them.

Oh yeah before the show, we caught Jason’s entourage in Topshop. Kinda lucky though and Lara was making her way to get a glimpse. She had a close up picture too, er mine kinda suck since I was far away. He was shopping for women’s clothes, dunno why. Funny thing I have to agree is that this dread locked guy had an emo-ish kinda way of singing. I usually find Rasta guys to be relax and just plain chill. He’s different like flashing his smile to everyone like that ones boy band uses. He uses his charms a lot too. Purely my opinion! What the heck, he knows how to hold the crowd so it’s a plus point to that one.

There are a lot of artists being featured by the Ayala malls though. The problem is if they will reach up all the way here in the queen city of the south.
