Song Challenge Day 6

Day 6: a Song that Reminds you of Somewhere

I blame my dad for this since he owns a cassette tape with Kenny Rankin's hits. This song reminds me of home actually, Ormoc City. Although the message of the song is not particularly related to my reason. It's easy and mellow plus this was usually the song when my dad picked us up at school during lunch break. My dad has this tendency to play the songs over and over again. Even though I was so hungry since he would picked us up late, my energy usually shifted on singing to this song instead. As for the artist himself, he was truly great and talented. He writes songs, has a cool voice plus awesome guitar rifts. His version of Blackbird is superb also. He passed away though in 2009 but his works will be remembered always.  Sorry Kirk from Glee but you have really ruined the song for me, his version of Blackbird was not that convincing.

Lyrics:

I've ordered some rain for tomorrow
The sky will be sunny but wet
And out of nowhere you're suddenly there
And i say yeah pardon me haven't we met?

I've ordered some sunshine with showers
And i've got my scenery set
Right there with a thump our umbrellas gonna bump
And i say yeah yeah pardon me haven't we met?

Accidents can happen
And into one i'm gonna slide
There's a good chance to get my hands
On a little romance when two hearts collide

And i know that's just how it happened
When romeo met juliet
Somewhere i've read that old romeo said
pardon me haven't we met?

And i know that's just how it happened
When romeo met juliet
Somewhere i've read that old romeo said
pardon me oh he said pardon me
He said pardon me haven't we met?
