Bars or Coffee Shops?

My father usually reminds me of why this generation is really into stuffs that are strong… strong liquor or coffee. I guess he’s more into doing any sport he could way back in college (evidence: family picture album)Justify Full
He has a point though; bars and coffee shops are usually the spot (mostly youth) that are pack of people. So the question is where do you mostly prefer? It’s the battle of caffeine and alcohol! Go!

Round 1: The Venue
Totally opposite; the other one is serene, cozy and smells of coffee everywhere, lighting is adequate enough with a touch of drama to it, its like a library (with wifi of course) only there are no silent signs being posted. The other is packed with loads of people since space isn’t that big, dance tracks like rnb, hip hop, house, techno booming through loud speaker (showing your hidden dance moves), lights are kinda dim since disco lights are usually present and it smells like beer, cigars or sweaty people.

Downside of coffee shops is that sometimes it’s hard to concentrate in there since mostly people talk there loudly.
Bars are hard also to communicate due to booming sounds and the smell of sweaty people is just scary.

Round 2: The Food
Different food preparations but prices of both are high. Coffee shops serve people with caffeine or milk drinks and sweets oh love those sweets so much! Bars serve with also so different kinds of alcohol (taste testing!) and restaurant food (not all!). Either ways, taste depends on specific name but both have their own specialty in the area. Like I said, both offer prices that sometimes are high for me but hen again sometimes the price was worth of it due to the entertainment you got.

Round 3: The Show
Different! If you need to be alone, coffee shops can offer you that. Although sometimes people will bug you, but hey its not that weird unlike in a bar were just a random person can totally dance with you! Hmmm bars have great entertainment, aside from the dancing part, mini concerts are held. It can be a band, singer, group dance, or dj. Coffee shops well it’s a place where you yourself will be the entertainment, rather more like interviewing each other’s opinions and gossips. As for the downside of things, bars are usually spots where fight scenes are common… I guess guys with too much in their system have lost the decency of controlling the beasts within.

some coffee shops i tried

Round 4: The People
I stick people in coffee shops coz usually its like “mind your own business” kind of thing. And I prefer myself and with my friends only, not some random guy who tries in hitting you just to get to your pants.

Round 5: The Service
Equally, both places offer good service. Yeah it still depends on the specific name of the place, but mostly orders came overflowing. Although you have to wait in a line in a coffees hops, still calling you name correctly to get your order is nice. Downside? Hmm bars sometimes give your orders so much that the bills are painful to pay!

Winner:
I have to settle in the middle. Sometimes my wild side creeps in so hitting bars isn’t bad just remember to stick with your friends all through the night. Coffee shops for me aren’t good places for studying but for drinking your favorite fraps or just having a decent conversation, it’s a perfect place to be at.

Just make sure that the services, food and people aren’t that nasty so that you could spend in that place til 5am!
